Public Notice: Proposed Amendment to Electricity Tariff (Yap Main Island)The Yap State Public Service Corporation is to provide reliable water & electricity services adequate to meet the needs of the people of Yap at a minimum price possible.
Seven boards of directors were appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the legislature. A General Manager and a controller were recruited by the Board. One year later on April 1, 1996, the Yap State Public Service Corporation broke away from the Yap State Government independently from any financial assistance and operates completely on its own revenue.
